Brand strategist / Project manager
Ida is a founding partner, brand strategist and project manager at Kandi.
Ida has assisted many businesses, both local and overseas to rebrand and launch new brands. She has played an integral part in building successful brands, repositioning old ones and defining clear brand hierarchies. She has done work across a wide range of industries, helping corporates as well as niche businesses with their brand strategies. Through her brand strategy process and her keen listening ear, she helps companies define their brand values and carve personalities that are unique and on-point. Ida’s skill set go beyond strategy, her illustration skills have helped bring many brands to life.
As a project manager, Ida is also responsible for liaising with our team, clients and suppliers, making sure all projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Ida grew up in a small village outside Arvidsjaur in the Nordic Lapland of Sweden, called Fjällbonäs. She studied Design and Illustration at Hällefors Folkhögskola in Sweden, and Fashion design at the University of Westiminster in London, where she graduated with BA Honors. Ida spent 10 years living and working as a fashion designer for high-street retailers and suppliers in London. In 2010 she relocated to Cape Town to launch Kandi with her husband Karl.
