The concept for this self-initiated studio project started off as a small wedding gift and developed into a 150-page cookbook. From the Heart is filled with original favourite recipes from family and friends. Recipes such as ‘Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Tartlets’, ‘Lemon and Parsley Flatty’s, a classic ‘Milk Tart’ and ‘Mum’s Crunchies’.
With a passion for good food and the enjoyment of spending time with family and friends, K&i created a cookbook celebrating these good times. Layout, design, illustration, copywriting, photography and food styling were all done in-house. Fun and quirky illustrations of ‘How to Make Butter’, a ‘Salad Calendar’, ‘Beef Cuts’ and ‘Measurements and Weights’ were introduced throughout the book for inspiration and additional information.
The cookbook has been featured on various sites, such as Creative Review in the UK, Design is a good idea, Between 10 and 5, Status Magazine and in the local Die Burger newspaper.
