The GIBS iLab is an innovative space created to challenge mindsets and thinking styles at the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Pretoria. It is a space where business leaders and academics can play and experiment with ideas and come up with new solutions. The processes used are based on design thinking principles focusing on a human centred approach incorporating all five senses.
Outcome
Kandi was appointed to create an identity system and a logo for the GIBS iLab. We also developed a set of icons for the 6 rooms; sight, smell, touch, sound, taste, and play. For each room an artwork was created around the human senses as well as ‘play’, incorporating both thought-provoking and scientific information. The designs were printed on writable and magnetic backings with spaces in the artworks purposefully left empty to encourage academics participation through writing as well as being able to add elements.
