Wolff Architects is an internationally acclaimed firm based in Cape Town, South Africa. They frequently lecture around the world and produce course materials for these occasions. Kandi have worked with Wolff Architects on several projects, including rebranding their own business and the V&A Waterfront signage. Kandi have also worked on several of their course work materials and publication design, one of which was ‘Breakthrough – Techniques of Working’.
Outcome
“Breakthroughs don’t require genius. It is something we learn to do. It should be a habit. Beyond hard work and commitment, what makes our work leap forward?” This question was put to the university students of ETH Zurich in Switzerland. Our brief was to create a poster that would reflect the nature of this statement, and publication design that would provoke, and engage with the viewer to question further. A striking and limited colour palette was applied, accompanied with impactful quotes across pages and varied design layouts throughout.
