The Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO) located in Nairobi, Kenya; coordinates and supervises UNICEF’s work in 21 countries: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Comoros, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
ESARO’s work is organised around UNICEF’s key priorities in the region: Young Child Survival and Development, Children and AIDS, Basic Education and Gender Equality, Child Protection, and Emergency Preparedness and Response.
The ESARO Nairobi office approached Kandi to design the UNICEF report, and a look and feel that would highlight their different key priorities, actions and results.
For the UNICEF report we developed a new illustrative direction using a ‘paper-cut’ style, in a fun and simplistic approach. A selection of UNICEF brand colours was used to assign each section and assist in navigation throughout the report.
