We have developed a range of quirky illustrations for Quirky.Me, a Cape Town based interior design and décor shop. Over the past few years we’ve illustrated zebras, potjies, airplanes, giraffes, lions, hippos, African hair cuts, fish, birds and clouds, to mention a few. The initial phase always start with sketches, we then move on to working on the designs, testing colour palettes and textures. Products have ranged from placemats, artwork prints, breadboards, coasters, notebooks and trays – all following a common ‘quirky’ theme. Here’s a selection of quirky illustrations we’ve developed for them.
Alongside the illustration artwork we developed for the products, we also worked with Quirky.Me to further developed the corporate identity. We designed a set of custom icons, based on a quirky bird theme, online banners, graphic elements, and various other marketing materials.
