Brand guidelines are a handbook for how to express and execute your brand, maintain brand strengths and ensure consistency going forward.
It usually includes logo use and misuse, a brand’s visual identity such as font usage and specifications, colour palette with relevant values, imagery or graphic style usage, grid layout guidelines, along with brand tone of voice.
Our typography guides include both primary and secondary font usage for headings, subheadings, and body copy. We also define what fonts to use for digital and print, and substitute fonts for cross-platform applications.
In more extensive guides, we include a short introduction to the company and its background, and any relevant information from the brand strategy, such as values, vision and mission, personality and brand architecture.
Brand guidelines are also often referred to as brand standards, style guide, brand bible or brand book. Read more about our full brand design services.
